Roof Survey in Bradford

Roof Survey in Bradford

A couple weeks ago we were approached by an architect company, who were assisting their clients to purchase a building in the Bradford area. One of the architects was concerned about the roof, there was no obvious damage but the building had been vacant for a number of years.

The building was four storeys high and there was no accessible access to the roof, one option was scaffolding but this is expensive and time consuming. We were contacted by one of the architects to see if we could assist.

After visiting the site, we were happy that we could carry out this work Safely & Effectively. We obtain permission from Leeds Bradford Airport as the site was within their airspace. On the day, two of the architects joint us on the site.

We set-up a small monitor so they could review alive feed from the drone. This was extremely beneficial as they could advise us on key areas which was of interest to them.

From the images taken on the day, it was determined that several areas of the roof required repairing and there were several birds' nests which would require relocating too. The estimated cost of repairing and the removal of the birds is around £12,000.We believe the seller is covering half of the cost.

We were on the site for no more than 3 hours & all the images were available from our website within 3 hours of leaving.

Benefits of using drones for aerial videography and photography

We can typically have our system ready to film or take photos in under 15 minutes.

The average traditional manned helicopter consumes roughly 129 litres of fuel per hour. With our electrically powered helicopters we have Zero Carbon Exhaust Emissions!

We utilise GPS technology which has built in safety eg. If the radio signal is lost the drone will return to home.

Many of our clients would have paid 5 times as much to achieve the same shots with full-scale alternatives.
